Consumer Hardware

Since building my first desktop computer in college from e-wasted components in 2016, I’ll keep loosely in touch with what’s going on in the desktop hardware market, to stay ahead of my next build plans. With today’s landscape of breadth in the PC consumer market, I’m glad to have built my literacy over time.

Daily carry and travel related electronics are of import to me as well. I’ve built out a small loadout for myself that lets me survive a workday while out in the city or away on a weekend trip. I’m always looking for ways to slim on footprint and weight.

I also enjoy photography, and while I prefer to take pictures over shopping for hardware, it’s always fun to take a peek at new spec sheets.

Platform Design

In my professional career, I have enjoyed building and maintaining microservices in the cloud. I like that this work is applicable anywhere, as nearly all ideas need some sort of internet presence to resonate with the world. In particular, finding emergent behavior from large datasets and modelling behavior over time excite me.

I get to supplement my time at work with my hobby of maintaining PWS, my homelabbing server where I host personal tools, a handful of public websites and the new FOSS software flavor of the week.
